This position is designed to provide a multifaceted professional experience within the South Florida PGA Section and Foundation. By building comprehensive knowledge of Section operations, the role offers opportunities to connect with a diverse group of stakeholders, including PGA Professionals, donors, partners, and junior golfers.
This role is ideal for a motivated professional looking to gain hands-on experience in sports administration, event operations, partnership activation, communications, and nonprofit programming within the golf industry.
Experience Required
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel for events as needed
Interest in sports management, nonprofit operations, communications, or the golf industry preferred
Experience with social media, photography, video content creation, or event operations is a plus
Essential Responsibilities
Partnerships
Assist with the execution of more than 60 partnership agreements annually
Capture photo and video content of partner activations onsite at events
Develop event recap packets showcasing partner exposure and value delivered
Produce creative collateral and materials used onsite
Assist with setup of partner equipment and engage directly with partners during events
Foundation Programming Drive, Chip and Putt
Assist as a lead staff team member administering 11 local Drive, Chip and Putt Qualifiers and 2 Sub-Regional events
Coordinate onsite event operations and participant experience
SFPGA Junior Tours
Support junior golf programming both onsite and administratively
Assist with player data tracking and event reporting
Outreach Programs
Assist with planning and onsite support for Foundation outreach initiatives, including but not limited to Smiling Fore Life and additional community programming
Section Tournaments
Assist onsite at South Florida PGA Section events as needed
Communications
Assist with event communications, including recap articles, photography, and video content capture
Support data collection and analytics tracking for communication initiatives
Contribute to storytelling efforts highlighting members, partners, Foundation programs, and junior golfers
